From an early age, I have cherished the art of photography, particularly in capturing moments with family and friends. I vividly remember using one of the early Nokia camera phones to photograph my nephew during his childhood. Despite the poor image quality, the essence of that moment was preserved, creating a lasting memory. Now, at 25 years old, my nephew still takes pleasure in reminiscing through my old photos. This exemplifies the true beauty of photography: its power to encapsulate and preserve cherished memories.

There’s an incredible sense of fulfillment that comes from capturing family occasions through photography. I pour my heart into creating the highest quality images that I can proudly showcase to others. However, many may not realize the extensive planning, shooting, and meticulous editing that goes into crafting each final image.
Last year, I decided to take a family photo with a unique twist. I had everyone sit on a stool, facing a window with a black backdrop behind us. One by one, each family member took their turn on the stool as I photographed them. I even made time to include Minne our dog, in the mix!
Once the photos were taken, I brought them into Photoshop, aligning each image to create a stunning composite of our family, with everyone’s heads perfectly aligned. The final result is a beautiful image that I will always cherish. It’s a treasured keepsake that holds a special place in my heart!
